Bedfordshire Invitational External Competition
The annual Bedfordshire Invitational Competition was held last week via Zoom, hosted by Harpenden Photographic Society. As mentioned previously, 10 clubs in Bedfordshire and on its borders took part, with each club submitting 6 “open” images. I’m sorry to say that we didn’t exactly cover ourselves with glory, coming a disappointing 8th= with Shillington Camera Club on a score of 101; the competition was won by Milton Keynes Photographic Society with a score of 113, Harpenden coming second with 111 and Stevenage third on 109. The marking, which I have to say I thought was somewhat erratic, was all pretty close over the six rounds. One more mark per image – a distinct possibility in my view – and we’d have been up there in 4th place or thereabouts.
Thanks anyway to all those who had images selected (my previous post refers) – we shall now move on to the next external competition which isn’t until January.
