Our Programme provides all of the information you need about meetings, competitions, presentations etc. Each event is colour coded relative to its category for example “Members Evening” is red, “Competition” is blue etc.
The drop down, or accordion style, of the design reveals all required information without the need to open any other pages.
The programme displays up to 15 months on a rolling basis, and a copy of it can be downloaded to your personal calendar by using the link after the last entry.

Thomas Peck returns to the club to deliver another intriguing talk – Imaging Reality – a history of documentary and street photography
Images show what has happened, don’t they? They depict reality, they are ‘proof’. Documentary photography gives insight into events and street photography allows us to glimpse other people’s behaviour. This talk will take us through the history of documentary/street photography using well known photographs liberally mixed with the author’s own photography. We will ask the question: is what we see in the photographs actually reality? Can we trust these ‘documentary’ photographs?

You can use unusual perspectives, bold compositions, abstract interpretations, digital manipulation, macro photography – where can you see a landscape?

An Evening of Classic Photography – You have an opportunity to step away from the digital world and take part in this film photography exercise launched at the AGM.
Whether you’re dusting off an old SLR or box camera from the attic, this is your chance to experience (or re‑experience) the magic of shooting with film with no instant previews and sharing that experience with other members.
Each participant will have the chance to show some of their developed images — either as projected on screen or as physical prints. We’ll talk about the creative choices, technical challenges, and surprises of working with film and what we have learned from the process.

It includes all forms of black and white photography, which produce images containing tones of neutral grey ranging from black to white. Other hues besides grey, such as sepia, cyan or brown can also be used as an alternative to grey (black/white) in monochrome photography.
