Monochrome Tips and Tricks
On Thursday 13 October our Skills Officer, Lee and Competition Secretary Ben led a members’ practical evening on Monochrome Tips & Tricks.
Ben began the evening with a brief tutorial. We were encouraged to think monochrome and concentrate on light form and texture. Help was on hand from experienced members more familiar with studio work.
We are grateful to Sophie, a very talented dancer, who patiently posed for ballet shots. Ben also switched roles from tutor to model!
In addition a variety of still life subjects were set up, but the highlight of the evening was the impromptu use of three of our more “senior” members as models. Thank you Dan, Joan and Valerie for being in front of the camera rather than a more familiar behind it.
