Competition Brief:

Colour or monochrome

The image should portray or strongly suggest movement or motion. The movement may be that of people, animals, birds, vehicles, water, weather, machinery or any other subject where motion is a key element of the photograph.

Movement may be shown by:

• Motion blur

• Panning

• Long exposure

• Frozen action

• Multiple exposure (created in-camera)

• The interaction of moving subjects with a static environment

• Any creative photographic technique that clearly conveys motion

The emphasis is on producing an image where movement is an essential part of the visual impact, rather than simply recording a moving subject.
